The Danish GM Jacob Aagaard added the Scottish title to the British title he won in 2007 as he finished in a five way tie for first on 7/9 at the Scottish Open recently concluded at the Trades Hall in Glasgow. This was the fifth year the tournament has been run as an international open and there were ten GMs and thirteen IMs in a 139 player field.
