The English Chess Federation has sent 23 of the country's leading young players to the World Schools Individual Chess Championships, in Iasi, Romania. There is also one player from Wales. The trip was organised in cooperation with IM Michael Basman of the Delancey UK Schools Chess Challenge, the largest tournament in the world with over 60,000 participants.
