IM Malcolm Pein reports on Vassily Ivanchuk's win against Hikaru Nakamura in round 6 of the 4th Final Masters. This was the first round of the event after the transfer from Sao Paulo to Bilbao. Ivanchuk didn't seem affected by his mugging in travelling between the two venues.

The "Your Next Move" 8 game blitz match took place in Leuven, Belgium on 9th March 2011. Garry Kasparov beat Nigel Short 4.5-3.5 in an entertaining blitz match that went down to the final game all square. This blitz match saw the first three games drawn, Kasparov win the next two, Short win the two after that before a noticably determined Kasparov won the final game to win the match.
