Here’s another nice documentary, this time on the Hungarian genius Rudolf Charousek. Charousek showed amazing potential but died of tuberculosis at the age of 27. This was a tragic loss as he had the potential to become World Champion and would have played many more brilliant games had he lived.

The 11th Open Internazionale Citta’ di Bergamo was organized by La Societa’ Scacchistica Bergamo and A.S.D. IM Marc Arnold and FM Alec Getz won their qualifying sections in the 2012 U.S. Junior Championship, and then settled things in a two-game title match. Game 1 was drawn last night, and today Arnold won on the white side of a King's Indian to take the title. He thereby qualifies for both the next U.S. Championship and the World Junior Championship.
